Beware

Beware!! Do not even contemplate using this firm. I have no experience with lawyers but this is the worst choice I ever could have made picking one. The associate, Brian Dow, who was supposed to be representing me, couldn’t even make sure the correct agreement had been submitted!! I should have kno...wn from the first when they kept misspelling things and instead of putting “ spousal support “, they put “ child support “ on the hearing documents. When they tried to double charge me. Twice!! He literally did nothing for me. He never got us all together to negotiate like he said or even counter offered. All he wanted to do was go to court plead the case to a judge and let them decide. And he allowed opposing council to postpone 3 times which ended up costing ME thousands more. The ONLY thing his firm helped me with was filing the paperwork and in the end they couldn’t even do that right and now because of that, they’re expecting another $2000 and something out of me that he was supposed to pay! I was a heartbroken woman all alone not having a clue as to what to do or what I was doing with no real money, like I’m certain many people in my position are. I, as well was going through chemo with cancer and being treated horribly by a man that I trusted and that just turned on me after 18 years of being together. I was devastated and trusted this firm to have my best interests in mind and to take care of me. The only thing I felt the whole time was that they were most concerned with was getting paid! If I hadn’t already given them over $4000 I would have fired them but they blew through the retainer money just like that and I didn’t know what to do and didn’t want to start all over and give another $3-4K to some other lawyers. They made over $10k off of me and I’m furious and this is just the first of many, many bad reviews I will be giving on any and every website I can find with this incompetent firms name on it !!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
