Attorney Ulrich R. McNulty joined Schlecht, Shevlin & Shoenberger, A Law Corporation in 2004 and became a shareholder in 2008. Before joining the firm, Mr. McNulty practiced law as a Deputy District Attorney in Riverside County for 18 years. With decades of extensive trial experience, Mr. McNulty focuses his practice on civil litigation in the areas of real estate, labor and employment, business and corporate disputes, and civil rights violations under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. Mr. McNulty also provides criminal defense on a limited, case by case basis.
EDUCATION, BAR ADMISSIONS AND AREAS OF PRACTICE
Mr. McNulty received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1983. He then attended law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating in 1986. He is admitted to practice law in all state courts in California, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. McNulty serves as both plaintiff’s counsel and a defense attorney for clients throughout Central and Southern California in civil litigation involving:

Employment and labor disputes
Corporate and business law matters
Civil Rights violations under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983
In addition, Mr. McNulty practices criminal defense on a limited basis.
MEMBERSHIPS, AFFILIATIONS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Mr. McNulty is a member of the Desert Bar Association, the Riverside County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He belongs to the Litigation and Labor & Employment Sections of the State Bar of California. Mr. McNulty also previously served on numerous committees as a member of the California District Attorneys Association, including the Trial Advocacy, DNA, Forensic Science, and Three Strikes Ad Hoc Committees.
In addition, Mr. McNulty currently serves as a Regent on the Xavier College Preparatory High School Board, and as past President of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce. He formerly served as a Director on the Xavier College Preparatory High School Board, the San Bernardino Diocese Board of Education and Welfare, and the St. Theresa’s School Board. Mr. McNulty has also been a Trustee for the O’Donnell Golf Club and the Commissioner for Region 80 of the American Youth Soccer Organization.
