My mothed hired this attorney to write up her Living Trust and Will. Made my brother the primary Trustee and then later she gave him advice. He had taken all the assets for himself and she did send me the will and trust papers but when, sometime later i asked her for additional info she never called ...me back and i even had the Wells Fargo banker call her and she didn't return their call either. I feel there was a breach and conflict of interest where this attorney is concerned and will be filling a complaint with the State of California pertaining to this matter.

My mother had a Living Trust and Will drawn up by Ms Tomp. She made my bro Trustee and son Successor Trustee. My bro took almost all of the trust assets and aided by ST disappeared. Myself and minor child were never informed of Trust until years later. My mother was not informed by Tomp that 1) sinc...e she had no "property" she didn't have to go through probate. 2) my brother was a drug addict and was already stealing from her account. 3) Tomp should have taken better care to explain that when you leave a Trust in the hands of a Trustee you should always make sure that all beneficiaries are equal Trustees. Because of this attorneys knowledge that this type of theft occurs all the time in the US she should have at least offered her client the info on the best way to handle Trustee issues. So many beneficiaries have been left not only with the death of a loved one but a nightmare in just receiving what that person wanted them to have. It is despicable how attorneys mishandle this situation every day. I have as a beneficiary contacted Ms Tomp and did receive a copy of both will and trust but now I need further info and she has not seen fit to return my calls. Laws need to be changed to insure that when a person dies their last will and testament are carried out and that the Trustee is not just given the estate to use as their own.
