Hilda Heredia Zamora

At the end of 2012 - beginning of 2013 Zamora represented me in a domestic violence case in family court. "Represent" is not the word to describe what Zamora did. She unethically took my case when she already knew the defendant and had helped the opposing counsel with court docs for the defendant. Sh...e was not prepared and did not prepare me for court nor did she spend the time to go over our plan of action. In court the judge actually admonished her for not understanding the process in our trial phase . In court she deliberately let me stay on the stand crying and frozen without asking for a break. She did not have her paperwork in order. I lost. An abuser was allowed to apply for custody of children. She took my money and once paid no longer took the time to give me my copies or explain what I was required to do. As a victim of spousal abuse for numerous years , I was included in a restraining order. It was very humiliating. I had to obtain copies myself of the final order. She also once made a comment to me "that's why I don't like to take female clients". She has a history of predominantly male clients in criminal court. A few weeks after the final court, she actually called me to yell at me because the opposing counsel had called to complain that I was bothering his client, the abuser. I told her never to call me again. I fired her.
