Brooke B. Nevels

Brooke Nevels is an accomplished civil litigator with experience in employment matters including both individual and class action litigation, real property disputes, business “divorce” and breach of contract disputes, trade secret disputes, and other business-related matters. Ms. Nevels excels at guiding her clients through all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, law and motion work, mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, bench and jury trials.

Prior to opening Nevels + Nichols LLP, Ms. Nevels worked for a San Diego and Fresno based civil litigation firm for over 10 years where she was counsel in hundreds of lawsuits representing employees, employers, individuals, and businesses. In her time there, Ms. Nevels successfully resolved countless cases obtaining millions of dollars of compensation for her clients.

Ms. Nevels was selected to the 2024 San Diego Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in San Diego receive this distinction.

Ms. Nevels is a third generation native San Diegan and attended both law school and undergrad in San Diego. As a a Magna Cum Ladue graduate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Ms. Nevels received multiple CALI Excellence for the Future awards as the highest-scoring student in CA Pre-Trial Prep, Constitutional Law I, Administrative law, and Pre-Bar Fundamentals. Ms. Nevels is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of California.

During her free time, Ms. Nevels enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.
