Brooke A. Hallisey

Brooke received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in May 2022. During law school, Brooke represented clients under the instruction of a supervising attorney both in a family law firm and in SMU’s family law clinic, where she represented clients pro bono. Through her time as a legal intern during law school and as a law clerk upon graduation, Brooke has gained experience in nearly all aspects of family law. Brooke was also a member of the Texas Pro Bono College and was on SMU’s Pro Bono Honor Roll, both honors bestowed upon those who complete 50 and 200 pro bono hours, respectively. Brooke is passionate about helping those in need.

Before law school, Brooke received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Journalism-Media Studies, from San Diego State University in 2019. While attending college, Brooke interned at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinic, where her interest in family law began.

Brooke takes an empathetic, healing-focused approach to her client’s matters. In her practice, she listens and empathizes with her clients, while helping them understand their legal options and providing logical solutions to what can be emotional issues. Brooke is passionate about helping individuals and families resolve their issues as amicably as possible and helping them achieve a positive outcome in what can be one of the most challenging times in their lives.
