Annette Marie Monagas-Symon

Our firm is composed of attorneys whom are immigrants themselves each with their own stories of why they came to the United States and the experiences they had during the process.

I was born in Puerto Rico and lived a large part of my childhood in Spain. I was able to learn and enjoy a different culture and languages which has shaped whom I am today. I moved to the United States when a teenager and attended college in San Diego. I loved San Diego and felt that I had a alot I could contribute to my community so I built my life San Diego.

I have a passion to assist our local and international community in areas that are important such as how to immigrate legally to the United States for these families and helping them understand basic day to day activities such as schooling for children and healthcare.

 I received a J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1995 with a Certificate in International Legal Process and earned the American Jurisprudence Award for excellent achievement in the study of Professional Responsibility. While attending law school, I worked with the school to create a partnership with the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California whereby students from both countries could learn about each other’s legal processes and worked in the Small Claims Department in San Diego assisting primarily Spanish clientele to understand their legal rights and the court process.  During my professional career I have remained involved in working with groups from different countries in areas such as in the legal landscape.
