Carol Anne Ronquillo

Carol Ronquillo has been an attorney in the San Diego area for over 40 years.  Once an accomplished litigator, Ms. Ronquillo became one of the first women partners at a major firm in San Diego in just five years.  At McInnis, Fitzgerald, Rees, Sharkey, & McIntyre, she litigated many cases in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, declaratory relief and complex shareholder litigation at both state and federal levels. 

Ms. Ronquillo’s family began to grow as she had three wonderful children.  She found the love of her family turning her attention away from litigation on to a new chapter in her life.  For nearly a decade now she has been focusing exclusively on estate planning and trusts.  She now helps families, like her own, plan and secure their future. 

Ms. Ronquillo has been very active in the San Diego legal community becoming an accomplished speaker and teacher.  She has taught legal writing skills at her alma matter Western State School of Law where she graduated as the Salutatorian.  She has also presented many speaking seminars for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), The Rutter Group, California Trial Association, College of Advocacy, San Diego Inn of Court, and the National Education Association, Value Builder. 

Spending a considerable amount of time in the area of special needs trusts, Ms. Ronquillo has developed a love for and desire to help those with personal disabilities.  She regularly volunteers and organizes events at Canine Companions, an organization dedicated to providing highly trained assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities.
