I live in Cal. Can I collect unemployment benefits after my 1099 contract ends? I last worked as a W2 employee August 2010.

You can collect in any qualifying year but you can only collect from the point you file. Also if you would have qualified for unemployment benefits...

They can deduct it from future payments or other benefits. Technically since it is a state debt, they could garnish government income.

If you want to keep your California driver's license you must maintain it. It is an automatic suspension if they discover you cancelled the coverage.

If the Department of Child Support Services are invovled then they most likely are taking the step to collect it on your behalf.

Your daughter can sue in any other court but the family court. The support order likely would stay in effect if she is going to school full time....

This is an immigration question. Your mother can seek asylum for domestic violence and they don't deport someone that did not commit the offense.
