Excellent Attorney

Highly Competent Attorney Having worked with Mr. Alford on the same matter in which Dr. Carl criticizes him. In that matter, the arbitrator (highly experienced) and opposing counsel (same), both considered his work and analysis to be excellent. As did I - as for my credentials, numerous Superior... Court Judges have appointed me their Special Master, and my list of clients includes attorney Robert Shapiro and several Fortune 100 companies. The fact was that Mr. Alfred did an excellent job in preparing the case; however, defense counsel raised issues that were not only unanticipated, but could not have been anticipated. In fact, Mr. Alfred saved Dr. Carl from being hit with a huge attorneys fee award that the other side was seeking (there was a fee-shifting provision in the contract which Dr. Carl had signed). In my experience, having worked for and against top lawyers throughout Southern California, Mr. Alred's job was exemplary. So I respectfully disagree with Dr. Carl, who is apparently lashing out at his attorney because the best result realistically obtainable was not what Dr. Carl had desired.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
