I wish I could give 10 STARS

I truly wish all law firms were like JCL. Jean-Claude was professional, fair, friendly, and took the time to have multiple conversations if questions came up. I never felt rushed. I always felt listened to, and I strongly believe that Jean-Claude care deeply about helping his clients. Not to mentio...n that he was able to negotiate a settlement IN MEDIATION with a huge company. As soon as Jean-Claude agreed to take my case, I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I could not recommend him highly enough.

So impressed!!

Like everyone else in this CoVid Pandemic, I found myself laid off and being asked to sign a bunch of documents. I work in Production in Los Angeles, so this wasn't my first layoff, and likely won't be my last. That said, I've read a few separation agreements in my time, and there were a few red flag...s in this particular agreement that worried me. With about 72 hours to figure out my next course of action, Jean-Claude Lapuyade came highly recommended from a friend. I decided to give him a call. Jean-Claude Lapuyade was able to squeeze a quick consultation into an unexpected window in his schedule, and, in just 30min, it was so clear that he was a top notch employment attorney. He knew all the right questions to ask, and had a wealth of knowledge that clued me into what my options are from this point. If anything goes South as I proceed with my chosen next steps, I know exactly who to call to seek justice against a questionable past employer. 5 stars! Highly recommend!

Extremely Unprofessional & Huge waste of time

Don't waste your time. I did consultation, lawyer agreed to take my case, asked for tons of documentation, and then disappeared for weeks. When I followed up they said not taking case but I should find lawyer asap? Find a professional.

Thank you for your review. Again, I apologize we cannot take your case. We conducted a thorough review that took 2 weeks from initial contact (6/25/2019) and only 48 hours after your production of requested information (7/9/2019). We disengaged you on 7/11/2019. Please also note that the 4th of July holiday fell during this time period. I reached out and left you a telephone message to explain our reasons for not taking your case and you decided, for whatever reason, not to return my call. Rather you decided to leave a defamatory “anonymous” and false review. While that is your prerogative, please note that we take false public statements very seriously. Again, I explained on my telephone message the reasons for not taking your case. Because I am not taking your case, I cannot express an opinion as to the merits of your matter. That would be unethical. Nevertheless, I provided you with the contact information for an attorney handling two already filed similar claims against the potential defendant as well as a referral hotline to find an attorney that might take your matter. I suggested that you contact the attorney handling the already filed cases to see if she will represent you and join your claims with the ongoing matter. It is standard practice to disengage potential clients immediately once we have made a decision not to take a case. Now, I am sorry you are upset. However, I never agreed to represent you. I agreed to evaluate your case, which I did. I wish you the best of luck moving forward finding representation for your matter. As always, please feel free to contact me personally to discuss my decision rather than trying to maliciously and falsely harm a my business reputation

Helped Me Win A Righteous Battle...

...against former employer who habitually denied staff, myself included, breaks in an Ambulatory Surgery Center where I worked as an RN. When I became ill at work after 9 hrs straight, I claimed missed rest & meal breaks & was summarily terminated. Jean-Claude took my case and kept me informed eve...ry step of the way to an apparent favorable settlement. Jean-Claude was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable & communicative.

Excellent result

Jean-Claude represented me in a construction defect action against my home builder. He obtained a great result for our family. He kept us informed throughout the process. In the end, we recovered what we needed to make the needed repairs to our home.
