When I recently found myself in need of legal counsel, Mr. Casiano was recommended to me by a trusted friend. He guided the family through the confusing realm of Social Security, Medicare and Medi-Cal, and he showed them how to best utilize those programs for the benefit of the lady. Just as importantly, he provided the family with information on how to deal with the sometimes less than helpful nursing home and hospital doctors, administrators and staff, so that their loved one got the best care at the least expense possible. Subsequently, upon her death, Vinnie's legal expertise and actions resulted in maintaining the maximum value of the estate that she was able to bequeath to her children. The situation I needed Vinnie for was very similar. I had a relative whose health was in steady decline, and I enlisted Vinnie's help in dealing with hospitals, emergency rooms and nursing homes. He was in the process of gaining a conservatorship status for me, when my relative died. At that point, he shifted to helping me with processing a will that was executed by my relative, and with the necessary filings with Probate Court. His advice and counsel have been stellar, and he is helping to move things along expeditiously. He has a genuine desire to treat his clients in a friendly and respectful manner, and his sense of humor helps to blunt some of the inevitable angst that occurs when dealing with legal matters and the court system. Mr. Casiano answered the phone and took my call. Although today it is common and expected to pay for assistance, especially in his field as an attorney. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN My wife Paula and I want to state how impressed and pleased we are at the work that Vincent Casiano, Esq. at the Casiano Law Firm did for us regarding my mother’s Sanchez Family Trust. This trust was a revocable trust that in included a Special Needs Trust in which my Mother ...sought to insure that the care and comfort needs of her full schizophrenic son and brain damaged daughter would be met. Upon my mother’s passing, I was presented with a bill by the State of California Medi-Cal Department in excess of $150,000. My problem with the Department centered on the wording of the Sanchez Family Trust. Another legal firm that prepared the Trust was not fully versed in issues of Elder Law and Medi-Cal requirements. I approached Vincent Casiano, Esq. for his assistance. The Sanchez Family Trust was an incredibly complicated case dealing with issues that earlier had not been planned for. We were left owing the State nothing!! Mr. Casiano assisted us in administering and closing out the trust which included the preparation of an account for my siblings in a smooth very understandable process allowed me to insure that my responsibilities as trustee were protected and completed to the satisfaction of the court.
