If you are going through a family law matter, I offer the following advice:

How do you choose a family law attorney? How do you trust someone whom you have never met, with that which is most important to you?

Answer: Talk to the people you trust most in this world, friends, family, maybe someone who has gone through it before. Get a referral, and then do your diligence about the attorney. No one knows the quality of the attorney – and therefore the quality of representation you can expect – better than former clients, other lawyers, or other professionals.

Family law is real people, with real problems, who need real help. You may be going through the most difficult time in your life. Or, you may be so ready to move on and need things done right. Each case is different. Find an attorney who will listen to you, understand you, and give you feedback with intelligent and competent advice. Find an attorney who will provide you with options, and who will fight hard for you when it is necessary. Most importantly, find the attorney, the human being, who you can trust to help guide you through the process.

I have been a Southern California resident my entire life. I grew up in Los Angeles, California, and went to college (San Diego State University) and law school (California Western School of Law) in San Diego. Some of the things I enjoy are travelling, camping, soccer, kayak fishing, history and technology.

I chose family law as my first and only profession, because I like helping people. I find that being of service to others is the highest calling in life.
