This is not a problem if you got your EAD card.

I always err on the side of over-disclosure and include documents to show what happened.

that should be fine but if traveling after September 2018 make an INFIOPASS for another sticker or stamp in your passport.

They may already have your fingerprints on file or decided they don't need them. If they issued the EAD then no worries.

Yes you are legally allowed to remain in the U.S. while your extension or change of status is pending.
