Biography
Frank Terrazas joins Garwood Reeves with 14 years of family law experience shaped by work on both sides of the table—as a longtime paralegal and as an attorney. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of San Diego, then completed a Graduate Certificate in Paralegal Studies and moved quickly into family law. For the next ten years, he trained with two highly regarded San Diego family law attorneys (now retired), gaining extensive experience with case development, client support, and the details that often drive outcomes. Frank later attended law school and was awarded the Bonnie Reading Memorial Scholarship by the San Diego County Bar Association’s Certified Family Law Specialists Committee, recognizing a student’s dedication to family law. While still in school, he began appearing in Family Court as a Certified Law Student, eager to build courtroom skills early. After graduation, Frank opened his own family law practice and quickly gained meaningful experience in contested matters and trials, while also negotiating numerous settlements for clients. His strong preparation, practical perspective, and approachable style make him a trusted advocate and a valuable addition to the Garwood Reeves team.

Extremely knowledgable
Frank currently serves as my custody lawyer. As we all know custodial cases can be very emotional and trying. Frank has made the process low stress and helps set the stage of what is come. Allowing his clients to be well informed.
