Craig S. Benner

Craig Benner combines years of high-volume experience, with exclusive boutique firm service; delivering a results driven practice which prioritizes the attorney-client partnership.    

At a young age, Craig Benner learned the benefits of hard work.  Growing up in a commercial fishing town off the coast of Maine, Craig began working on his family’s fishing vessel at the age of 10.

Having made his way to the opposite coast in San Diego, Craig incorporates those lessons he learned from the unforgiving ocean in the legal world.  “You can’t be afraid of hard work,” says Craig.  “The law gave me two great opportunities in life – challenging work, and the ability to help people.”

While a legal career offers the stimulating challenges Craig seeks in an ever-changing industry, his true satisfaction comes from providing the benefits to his clients.  Craig believes the best representation is when “…you can tell someone cares – whether it’s the mechanic trying to find the problem with your temperamental car, or the attorney serving as your legal guide, confidant, and friend.  With any problem, I want to know this person I’ve hired cares not just about my problem, but about fixing the problem for me.”

The majority of Craig’s clients come from referrals of former clients who recommend Craig to their family and friends.  A referral is the highest compliment to Craig; confirming that his services were appreciated and recommended to others who find themselves in need of legal assistance.

Craig spent several years working in a prestigious firm handling Maritime cases, Longshore and Harbor Workers claims, Defense Base Act claims, and Personal Injury cases.  The experience was invaluable.  Desiring a more personal and focused legal practice, Craig started the Benner Law Firm.  Doing so has enabled Craig to work more closely with his clients; allowing him to give the personal and exclusive legal service Craig himself expects in his own life.

Craig obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University, where he earned Dean’s List honors, and his Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law, where is also earned Dean's List honors.  He spends his free time with his wife and growing family, enjoying all things outdoors.
