Nathalia Fernandez Valenzuela

Nathalia Fernandez Valenzuela joined Buono Law Group, APC in 2015, as an Associate Attorney. Under the mentorship of Attorney Angela Buono, she has worked extensively on a variety of proceedings encompassing all areas of family law — including dissolution of marriage, custody and visitation issues, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and collection and enforcement actions. Ms. Valenzuela is focused on negotiating favorable settlements for her clients, while assisting them in avoiding the emotional and financial toll that can come with on-going litigation.

Ms. Valenzuela received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she majored in History. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Ms. Valenzuela received her Legal Assistant Certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Valenzuela worked as a paralegal for several years at a civil litigation firm in the Los Angeles area. It was during this time, that Ms. Valenzuela saw firsthand how access to legal knowledge can have a tremendous impact on people’s lives. This not only sparked her passion in law but ultimately led to her decision to attend law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. After completing Family Law and Community Property courses in law school, Ms. Valenzuela decided to pursue practice in Family Law.

Upon passing the California bar in February 2014, Ms. Valenzuela initially returned to the firm where she had previously worked as a paralegal, and began working as an Associate Attorney. While initially focusing on the area of civil law, the desire to practice family law remained, and eventually Ms. Valenzuela moved to San Diego to pursue a career as a Family Law Attorney.

In her free time, Nathalia enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.
