Sean Clark Russell

Sean started his career at top-tier litigation firms, litigating against the country’s largest defense firms on high-stakes plaintiffs' cases. When a unique opportunity brought him to the defense side for a year, he gained firsthand insight into how defense arguments are constructed, evaluated, and fine-tuned from the inside, returning to the plaintiffs' bar with a well-rounded perspective on complex litigation strategy.

After nearly a decade focused on large-scale litigation, Sean wanted the freedom to assist clients across a broader spectrum of matters, including smaller, individual claims that large firm structures often cannot accommodate. He co-founded Noss & Russell, LLP to continue handling complex antitrust, consumer protection, data privacy, and class action litigation, while remaining accessible to individuals and emerging businesses.

As part of that focus, Sean leads Markley, the firm’s dedicated trademark practice. Operated under Noss & Russell, LLP, Markley provides federal trademark application filing and prosecution at published, flat rates, giving business owners clear, upfront costs for protecting and building their brands.

Outside the practice, Sean lives in San Diego with his wife and their two young kids. He spends most of his time off with family and friends, enjoying the community they call home.
