Biography
I enjoyed a successful and rewarding career as a family law trial attorney for 44 years. But I could tell that my clients whose cases I was able to settle, were more satisfied than those whose cases I won. It wasn't the outcome that was as important as the process, and the process of litigation was expensive financially as well as emotionally, and extremely time-consuming. Two years ago I decided to only serve as an advocate in cases in which the parties wanted an alternative method to litigating their disputes. I have extensive training and experience in mediation, collaborative practice, and settlement negotiations, and can bring my experience to help people through this difficult time with compassion as well as knowledge. I am grateful that so many clients share my view of a better way to conclude a failed marriage.
