Broc Newman

Broc Newman is an associate attorney at HHJ Trial Attorneys. Broc is a caring and zealous advocate for his clients who have suffered catastrophic personal injuries through negligence or medical malpractice. As an associate attorney, Broc has already tried one case, regularly appears in court for motions, hearings, and takes depositions to obtain settlements for clients.

Broc was born in Billings, Montana, but moved to Chandler, Arizona and lived there for 20+ years where he attended ASU and discovered his love of advocacy and helping others. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a specialization in Business Litigation. In May of 2020, Broc earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law after receiving a full ride scholarship.

Prior to going to law school, Broc spent free time playing men’s league baseball with his best friends and younger brother, golfing with his dad, and camping. He also coached his high school’s summer Varsity team to give back to the community that taught him so much.

Broc discovered his love for court room advocacy during his first year of law school where he competed in several interschool competitions, including the Lynch Moot Appellate Court competition where he took home first place and a distinguished advocate award. After taking on the school competitions, Broc moved on to California Western’s Competitive Trial Team program that competes against schools all around the nation. Once he secured the top academic achievement award for his trial team tryouts, Broc was placed on the top trial teams during his time at California Western. While competing and sharpening his advocacy skills, Broc and his team placed 2nd in the CACJ national competition out of thirty other competing law schools.

Prior to his time at HHJ, Broc worked for several well-known personal injury and medical malpractice firms in the San Diego area. During his time as an intern and a lawyer, Broc has had extensive experience in a variety of cases including, catastrophic person injuries, medical malpractice, medical device fraud, commercial trucking collisions, dog attacks, premises liability, and personal injury claims against government entities.

In his free time, Broc enjoys golfing the many beautiful coastal golf courses we have in San Diego. He also enjoys cooking large Italian meals, snowboarding, scuba diving, camping with his fiancé and dogs, and playing softball with friends.
