Prosecution alleged that Client and his co-defendant had beaten up the victim by shoving him around and punching him in the face. A witness alleged that both Client and co-defendant had "jumped" the victim and that they were repeatedly throwing punches at the victim. Victim fell down and he sustained multiple injuries to his face and head. Despite some witness accounts, there were several other witnesses who indicated that Client was not in fact involved in the altercation and that he was trying to break up the fight between the victim and co-defendant.
