Amanda Lois Rushforth Fates

I was arrested for DUI late in 2011, if convicted it would have been my 2nd DUI in 10 years so the stakes were extremely high. I knew that the decision I made in who handled my case was of the utmost importance. I truly believe that I could not have retained the services of anyone better. Mrs. Fat...es previously worked with the prosecution handling DUI cases, I believe it is this experience that gives her an advantage compared to her colleagues. Throughout the process she was able to utilize her experience as a prosecutor to build the best defense for my case. We proceeded to a Jury trial and it was in the courtroom where Mrs. Fates truly shined. Mrs. Fates was always prepared and in many cases seemed to be one step ahead of the prosecution, again I attribute that to her previous experience. She was aggressive but at the same time came across as approachable and likeable, something that is really important in a trial decided by Jury. In fact, after the trial was over we were able to talk with the jurors and many of them spoke of the great job Mrs. Fates did. Court is a scary place, and being the defendant in a trial is extremely unnerving. I found it very comforting having Mrs. Fates as my attorney. She is very easy to talk to, she was very responsive in answering all my questions, and great at keeping me informed. Ultimately, my case was dismissed. Instead of being charged with a 2nd DUI, I plead to the equivalent of a speeding ticket. We were even able to win the DMV trial to overturn the suspension of my drivers license, a feat that is only possible if you have the best representing you. From time to time we all make bad decisions. I made one the night that I was arrested. However, hiring Amanda Fates to handle my DUI case was by far the best decision I could have made. I am extremely grateful for all her hard work and would highly recommend her to anyone."
