Neil Richard Sheaffer

Neil joined Skaja, Daniels, Lister & Permito as an associate attorney in 2015.  His practice includes a wide range of transactional and litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on business transactions related to real estate, corporations and the hospitality industry. 

Neil brings diverse experiences to his practice at SDLP.  He has assisted with the formation of multiple companies and has worked on a variety of business litigation cases including copyright infringement, partnership disputes and breach of contract.  He has extensive experience with music recording agreements and also served as an in-house legal consultant for an art licensing company where he had the opportunity to work on both trademark and copyright litigation and transactional issues related to visual art.

After graduating cum laude from Washington and Lee University, where he earned his BA in Russian Area Studies and European History, Neil worked in the media and higher education industries.  Neil earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2013.

Neil is co-president of the San Diego chapter of the Washington and Lee University Alumni Association.  He grew up, and currently lives, in Carlsbad.
