Kathryn Sara Kaufman

KATHRYN S. KAUFMAN is an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of ARTHUR S. BROWN, APLC. Kathryn joined the firm in 2007 after graduating from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and being admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006. While at UC Hastings, Kathryn was an editor for the Hastings Women’s Law Journal for two years and also served as a judicial extern in the San Francisco Superior Court.

Prior to law school, Kathryn earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with Minors in Political Science and Theater from the University of California at Riverside.

Kathryn’s involvement in estate planning dates back to 1996 when she began working for a solo estate planning practitioner who was also her Mock Trial coach! During college Kathryn went on to work at a mid-size insurance defense firm in Riverside, primarily working with the partner who managed the estate planning group. Kathryn also worked for LexisNexis during law school, helping to edit and cite check chapters for the Practice Guide on Trusts and Estates. It was a natural progression for Kathryn to then join the Law Offices of ARTHUR S. BROWN, APLC, specializing in Estate Planning and Trust Administration for clients in Carlsbad and San Diego North County after becoming a member of the Bar.

Kathryn was born and raised in Southern California and was excited to move to sunny San Diego after attending law school in San Francisco. In her free time, you can find Kathryn spending time with her husband and cats, enjoying a good book, playing computer games, or savoring delicious food and wine!
