Beware! He is not capable of winning! It's up to you, but I would look somewhere else before he takes your money and runs.

I highly suggest you speak to friends, or local business people for advice. Clifton is unethical, and a horrible person. I have never in my life felt so poorly of someone. He tried to represent me, and after getting to know him and seeing him in court, I realized he was incapable of practicing law. I... was coaching him about law! Eventually I told the judge I felt the person representing was incompetent and I request an extension to find a lawyer worth my time. I did and we rightfully won, however if I had continued my path I was sure we would of lost or compromised (based on his advice). I won't communicate who I worked with in this review because I don't want you to think I'll selling someone else. I'm just suggesting you do your homework, make sure you work with the right person. If you choose Clifton, he will rip you off and he WILL NOT WIN. "I just do what I need to do to make a living and if you don't like it then go somewhere else." Good luck and remember, this is your life he's dealing with, not just some client.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
