Darbi Ann Davidson

Darbi is an Associate Attorney at Lass Law APLC who supports Amy Lass and the firm’s family law team in helping individuals and families navigate divorce, custody, support, and other deeply personal legal matters. She brings compassion, careful preparation, and strong litigation experience to every case she works on.

A lifelong San Diego resident, Darbi earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications before serving as a Communications Director for a local church. That experience strengthened her ability to communicate clearly, listen thoughtfully, and connect with people during meaningful and often challenging moments in their lives.

Darbi later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she distinguished herself academically and professionally. She served as an Academic Success Fellow, an editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, and a research assistant. She was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and received the Law Faculty Outstanding Scholarship Award.

During law school, Darbi gained hands-on legal experience through externships with the San Diego City Attorney’s Office in the Criminal Division and the San Diego Superior Court in the Civil Division. After passing the California Bar Exam, she joined Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire as an Associate Attorney, where she developed valuable civil litigation and courtroom experience.

Darbi joined Lass Law because of the firm’s thoughtful, holistic approach to family law and its commitment to helping clients move through difficult transitions with clarity and support. As an associate attorney, she works closely with Amy Lass and the firm’s legal team on case preparation, legal research, drafting, client communication, negotiation strategy, and court-related matters.

She believes effective family law representation requires both strong advocacy and genuine compassion. Whether assisting with a divorce, child custody dispute, support issue, or another family law matter, Darbi remains focused on helping clients feel heard, respected, and informed throughout the process.
