Eric David Morton

Eric Morton’s practice in business law and intellectual property has long been dedicated to helping businesses succeed. To do so, Eric meets with clients to ascertain details about their company in order to focus on the client’s plans and goals. Through years of experience, Eric researches a company’s vision and concerns, and devises unique and cost-effective means that will benefit business owners.

As a result of Eric’s 29 years in practice, hundreds of business owners have benefited from Eric’s insight, experience and wisdom. He firmly believes that an attorney must always keep the client’s long-term goals in mind. From his experience, Eric realized that a better, more responsive and technologically advanced law firm was necessary. From that insight, he founded Clear Sky Law Group as a non-standard law firm that delivers effective, client-centered legal services.

Eric belongs to the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Alameda County Bar Association and the North (San Diego) County Bar Association, where he chaired the IP Section for several years.  He is a member of the Intellectual Property and Business Law sections of the California State Bar. For three years, Eric was an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law, where he mentored law students, taught trademark law, and served as supervising attorney for the school’s trademark clinic. Before going to law school, Eric was a U.S. Marine Corps officer and helicopter pilot.

When not at work, he plays Advanced Squad Leader, listens to jazz, and reads history. Eric also finds time to stay fit.  Above all, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two dogs.
