Heather is truly a life-saver. I was dealing with an expired and forfeited license issue with my board that caused me to have to shut my practice down while I applied for reinstatement. From the very beginning Heather was more than professional, honest, and compassionate. She didn't judge me on my situation and obtained as much information as needed. I was charged for a DUI. The CA SLP board was notified and sent a letter requiring additional information as they investigated. I look...ed laboriously for a lawyer that would have my best interest and help me. Heather periodically checked in on me and the status of my criminal case. She worked with my criminal lawyer as well which was great. She kept a very organized and detail folder of all of my documents in addition to all other information regarding my case. She notified me of any changes and when I dissolved the money left in my trust for her to use (FYI-she doesn't charge a flat rate). She even answered questions about future employment and whether I had to divulge my DUI arrest. Heather was prompt with responses and did exceptionally well with obtaining all information needed. Even if she didn't have an answer for a questions she worked hard to find information so she could be of assistance. I have nothing but kindness and respect for Heather and the company. She knew the importance of this case and her work ethic shows for it. In the end the board decided not to move forward with a disciplinary action and I know I have Heather to thank for that. I am writing this review to thank attorney Heather Melone for handling my case with the state board. Heather is knowledgeable, professional and knows her scope of practice very well. She has worked with various licensing boards in the State of California. My case was slightly different and she ...had to work with a state certification board. The difference is that licensing boards have a set of legal steps and procedures for every case they handle and certification boards do not. Which makes them a little more unpredictable in their actions. Heather was able to use her knowledge and experience and achieved the best outcome possible for my case - "no disciplinary action and no futher action required" I was reffered to her by another attorney and that was a great referral. At the initial consultation Heather went well over her time to answer all my questions. Once hired she was always available to contact and her communication level was on top.
