Angela represented us as foster parents. She was a great advocate for what was in our foster child’s best interest. She really helped us navigate one of the most difficult and stressful periods in our lives and we couldn’t be more grateful. Not only is she a very good attorney and has a lot of connec...tions in the system, but more importantly, she is a really caring person. When we were at court, waiting for our case to be called, she would talk to people she knew and take a genuine interest in them. She encouraged us to meet and get to know some of our foster child’s family, who were supportive of us, and she counseled them as well, in some cases on personal matters unrelated to the case. She walked over to a family that had just finalized their adoption and offered to take a group photo when a selfie just wasn’t cutting it. You can see she cares and has integrity, only taking cases that she feels will make a positive impact. She is very clear and explains things so that we are encouraged and yet have a realistic picture of the possible outcomes. Multiple social workers at our FFA and DCFS involved with our case have since recommended her to others. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Often too busy to return calls; often gave me the impression that she had taken on too many cases and was too busy to give adequate attention to my case; I heard through a reliable source of an unfortunate incident in which she recommended a placement for a child and subsequently, the child was abuse...d in that placement - as a result, she is extremely reluctant to advocate for removal of a child from a particular custody, possibly to the extent that her effectiveness in custody cases is severely limited. Her custody report for my case was excellent but she then muffed the case due to the above..

Ms. di Donato did an excellent and thorough job as a minor’s counsel. I highly recommend her as minor’s counsel in highly contested child custody battles if you want the truth to come out.
