If I could give him negative stars I would. I hired Neal, outside of Avvo, to do my bankruptcy. He did everything wrong from the beginning. He told me to take my money out of my retirement account and hold on to it. Not sure why he wanted me to do that until after I hired a new attorney. He was havin...g me hide it. He even suggested buying gold with it. He should have known retirement accounts are protected. He filed late and filed wrong paperwork along the way. Then he had a court appearance and didn't show up. My daughter went and the judge told her he filed the wrong paperwork and was mad he didn’t show up. He even told her to get a new attorney. Then he wouldn’t give the money back that my daughter paid him to file the papers and go to court. The judge at the first hearing didn’t like him either. He kept saying things were not handled right. I hired a new attorney and had to report everything, to be legal. I ended up losing my whole retirement money due to his incompetence. The judge for the final hearing wanted to know who the idiot was that started this whole thing. that is exactly what he said. Couldn’t believe the mess. If you don’t want to lose everything, stay away from this guy!! He doesn’t know what he is doing!! Two different judges told me how he didn’t know what he was doing and how what he did do, was all wrong. He lied to me and told me that he didn’t need to show up for the hearing. The judge said he needed to show as that is what I paid him to do. He has you pay for things that he doesn’t do right. Stay away unless you want to lose everything like I did. I didn’t know about the legal world so that is why I hired an attorney. Apparently my attorney didn’t either. My new attorney couldn’t believe what was done and had to fix it all, but it was too late. Lost my entire retirement a count. Would never recommend someone so incompetent such as this.
