Great counsel, excellent court demeanor, fantastic family law attorney

Ms Briceno was clear and realistic with expectations of outcomes at my hearings. She has a great rapport with court staff, and obvious familiarity with the departments in Pasadena where my case was heard. Her negotiations with opposing counsel were calm but firm, and kept things moving along smoothly..., and ended in a favorable outcome. I felt very confident having her represent me, especially compared to other attorneys I saw in court who were not as organized, collected, and who obviously were not as familiar with the judge. She is the best.

Completely dependable and trustworthy!

At the point in your life that you'll need a family law attorney, most likely it's not an easy time in your life. Mrs. Briceno makes the process so much more bearable and you know you're in good hands from start to finish. She explains everything thoroughly and in great detail. She gives you great le...gal advice, but ultimately let's you make the final decision. I can't say enough great things about Mrs. Briceno. I'm very grateful I was referred to her and had her throughout this legal process. Her staff is great as well. I dealt with Samantha on a lot of the paperwork and she is just as effecient as mrs. Briceno is. If you are looking for a family law attorney, I HIGHLY recommend Mrs. Briceno's law firm!

Child Custody

I hired Ms. Briceno after spending a very long and difficult divorce process. I was looking for an attorney to help me with my Child Custody Case. The first thing I realized is her ability to remember details that will help me in my case. She also did not have any prejudged me as a father seeking cus...tody. She filed for a hearing at the right time and was always available whenever I had a question or needed to meet with her. In court, she was very prepared and skillfully argued my case to the judge. She is one of the best attorneys in the area because of her dedication to get her clients what they want. She was clear about what to expect but was not afraid to appear in front of the judge and fight for me. I have so much respect for Ms. Briceno and her assistant Ms. Ramos and I am forever grateful for their dedication to help me with my case.

worth every penny

Elizabeth Briceno-Velasco was actually referred to me by my paralegal who I hired last fall of 2014 to help me out with a child custody/divorce case I was having with my child's father and hopefully soon-to-be-ex. What was supposed to be a simple case and easily resolved, since we were only married ...a couple months, actually took almost a year. It was in April 2015, after my most recent court date, that I decided I might need a lawyer since my now ex-husband was being difficult, trying, and unreasonable to say the least. In July 2015, I hired Elizabeth Briceno-Velasco as my lawyer and represent me in court. Although I only saw Elizabeth Briceno-Velasco officially two times and a couple other times dropping off materials, she was able to understand exactly what I needed and wanted in my upcoming trial in August 2015. Elizabeth Briceno-Velasco kept me calm and focused during the August 2015 trial and was able to deal with my now ex-husband in such a manner that I was awarded by the judge every single thing I wanted. I was so happy and relieved to finally be done with all these court proceedings and I don't think it would have been withouth the help of Elizabeth Briceno-Velasco who also has a very competent and helpful assistant named Samantha Ramos. Despite our brief associations with each other, they have made a huge impact on my life, my child's life, and my family's. I am thankful to the both of them for all that they did for us.

Trustworthy, Responsive, & Great Value

I hired Mrs. Briceno to represent and guide me through my divorce case. I initially hired her because she offered a substantial amount of value for her services and provided me with a free initial consultation. She was very responsive and provided me with thorough explanations whenever questions we...re posed. She also did a fantastic job keeping me informed whenever communications took place with my ex's lawyer. Ms. Briceno displayed a slight lack in attention to detail and/or deficient comprehension of law encompassing co-mingled accounts, which ultimately cost me $1 - $2K for unnecessary hours she spent on my counter-settlement offer. I'll admit that a couple of my accounts were a bit confusing due to a savings account that transferred into another account on an annual basis following its maturity; however, she admitted the co-mingling of my accounts was not on her radar. Her services were well-received and appreciated outside of this issue. My dissolution of marriage ultimately settled outside of court and I would recommend Elizabeth to anyone engaged in a simple to moderately complex divorce case. She will work hard and do her very best to represent your best interests.
