Highly Recommend Mrs. Briceno-Velasco

I hired Mrs. Briceno-Velasco for my Mother to handle a motion to terminate spousal support. She was extremely knowledgeable and forthcoming from the initial consultation, she explained that it wasn't an easy motion to oppose and that the likelihood of getting it reduced was high but that she would wo...rk hard to prove all elements of the supporting family code, and that she did. Through the entire process, she was very communicative, professional and compassionate with my Mother. In the end, she was right, this was not an easy motion to oppose but due to her knowledge, being well prepared and patience, my Mother prevailed on an issue that seemed close to impossible to prevail on. The opposing attorney and Judge didn't make things easy either, yet, she stood her ground. Mrs. Briceno-Velasco was strong while maintaining civility at all times which is important in an area of law that can tend to be a little cut throat. My Mom and I are truly thankful for her representation. Mrs. Briceno-Velasco treated my Mom and I with kindness at a time when we needed it most and we never felt like "just another client." I highly recommend her and while I pray we won't need her services in the future, it would be a true pleasure to work with her again.

Outstanding Attorney

Ms Briceno was hired to assist my son with his child custody case for my grand daughter. She was very patient with our many questions and thoroughly explained what we could and/or should expect. She helped us through a very difficult situation which we are truly grateful for all she has done. She ...is a very kind person as well as an excellent attorney. We highly recommend her.

Great counsel, excellent court demeanor, fantastic family law attorney

Ms Briceno was clear and realistic with expectations of outcomes at my hearings. She has a great rapport with court staff, and obvious familiarity with the departments in Pasadena where my case was heard. Her negotiations with opposing counsel were calm but firm, and kept things moving along smoothly..., and ended in a favorable outcome. I felt very confident having her represent me, especially compared to other attorneys I saw in court who were not as organized, collected, and who obviously were not as familiar with the judge. She is the best.

From another satisfied client:

I first came to Elizabeth for a legal consultation in September 2015 to better understand my rights as a mother with a possible custody battle of my unborn child. Elizabeth was patient with all of my questions and very thorough with her explanations. I didn't hire Elizabeth until November 2015, and w...ith my request to get papers filed and served immediately, elizabeth and her assistant were able to get this done expeditiously, even with my (now) ex husband being in another state. From then on, I always felt like Elizabeth had my back! She guided me throughout this whole divorce/ custody case, and gave me the knowledge to help make my decisions with confidence. For being such a small firm, I never had to wait more than 24 hours for a response to a call, voicemail or email, which made this normally difficult time that much easier. I am truly grateful to have had Elizabeth in my corner. I highly recommend her and her team!

Trustworthy, Responsive, & Great Value

I hired Mrs. Briceno to represent and guide me through my divorce case. I initially hired her because she offered a substantial amount of value for her services and provided me with a free initial consultation. She was very responsive and provided me with thorough explanations whenever questions we...re posed. She also did a fantastic job keeping me informed whenever communications took place with my ex's lawyer. Ms. Briceno displayed a slight lack in attention to detail and/or deficient comprehension of law encompassing co-mingled accounts, which ultimately cost me $1 - $2K for unnecessary hours she spent on my counter-settlement offer. I'll admit that a couple of my accounts were a bit confusing due to a savings account that transferred into another account on an annual basis following its maturity; however, she admitted the co-mingling of my accounts was not on her radar. Her services were well-received and appreciated outside of this issue. My dissolution of marriage ultimately settled outside of court and I would recommend Elizabeth to anyone engaged in a simple to moderately complex divorce case. She will work hard and do her very best to represent your best interests.
