Biography
Steven Messner joined the firm in 2008. Mr. Messner attended the University of La Verne College of Law where he graduated first in his class. While at La Verne, Mr. Messner was the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Messner has served as lead counsel at trial in both insurance bad faith and property damage cases. He recently represented the City of Upland in reaching a $4.75 million settlement with the Insurance Company of the State of Pennsylvania in a lawsuit alleging insurance bad faith and breach of contract over the insurance company’s failure to defend the City in the Colonies litigation. In addition, he has worked on numerous cases for policyholders and injury victims since joining the firm, including:
- MGA Entertainment, Inc. v. Hartford, et. al.
- Van Zee v. Homesite
- Elkins v. Murchison
- Linkin Park v. Lloyds
- Tomjanovich v. State Farm
- Ramos-Lovato v. Community Bank
- Murphy v. Blue Cross
