Honorable Attorney

Blake Thompson represented me in my divorce a little over a year ago and I was very pleased with his services. At my consultation he was very upfront and gave me an estimated time line he felt it would take to finalize, about 18 months, he nearly hit the nail on the head as it took exactly 16 month...s. In addition to the time line, once my case began and my Ex and his attorney were requesting unfair amounts of support from me he sat me down and explained yet again that our family Judicial system was not here to leave the supporting party without means and though I would be paying it would be an amount I could afford and not nearly what they were demanding, again in the end he was correct. Blake and his office staff were very professional and always returned my calls and answered my questions. Blake is a skilled litigator and spoke eloquently on my behalf during trial as well. You definitely get what you pay for with Thompson and Thompson, and I would highly recommend Blake.

Child Support

A true professional and an ally that you want on your side in family court. I am so thankful to Blake Thompson's counsel during a very difficult child support case. Blake had a clear strategy based on case law and he did not deviate from the facts whether it was with opposing counsel or in front of t...he judge. Not only did Blake keep me informed each step of the way but he was also extremely candid with me regarding the lengthy process. Since we had to hire a forensic accountant to substantiate our case, it required many moving parts and the cooperation of opposing counsel and my ex to provide financial documents, which was no easy task. Blake prepped me thoroughly for my time on the witness stand and I was able to answer questions confidently and factually. Blake is busy but he always returned my calls within a reasonable amount of time, 2-3 days ususally. Most importantly, Blake was my biggest advocate throughout and he was very straightforward with me. He told me where we had a strong case, and where we lacked sufficient evidence, he never sugar coated the facts. After several difficult years, we finally won the case and I have Blake Thompson to thank; his expertise was and is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend him for family court legal matters.

Alimony Restructuring

I'm Claudia - a client of Blake Thompson. Last week was trial with my ex-husband re: alimony and monies owed to me. Mr.Thompson has from day one, returned my calls, listened to me, asked for my opinion, and provided and valuable legal advice. Had I tried to represent myself I would have been sunk f...or sure, since during cross examination, the opposing attorney asked me several questions regarding money. I got "cloudy" in my thinking and could not seem to come up with the correct figures. ( jitters I think). This could have really been bad for me except for the fact that my attorney, Mr. Thompson knew all the facts that I was incapable of remembering. He had an strong closing argument in which he defended my actions, and my needs and clearly stated what the law requires of my ex-husband. Throughout the trial he stayed focused and on target. Thank God. His comment to opposing counsel was something like, "Nice job of of thoroughly confusing my client. I've seen that technique before". Perfect! Judge ruled in my favor - I will be receiving twice as much alimony as I had requested, and for much longer than I expected. I know this is due to the excellent work of my attorney. This is the second time in six years that Mr. Thompson has represented me in Family Court and both times he won. And so did I!

A Poor Choice

He presents well, but after he takes your case he is very hard to get a hold of. The lesser lawyers in the firm were constantly handling my case. He would frequently cancel appointments. He charged me for every little thing. It was almost as if there was an unwritten rule that had to create billa...ble hours, for unnecessary things in an effort to keep the money flowing. He purposely moved very slowly during the divorce process. Things only ended after months of senseless billing. I guess he probably felt I had been sucked bone dry and there was no more money left in my bank accounts. He spent most of his time trying to avoid doing any legal work, especially if it meant going to court. The staff is no better. They would forget deadlines and expect you to drop everything to get them paperwork on demand. When you are going through a divorce this is the last thing you need; someone making stressful situation even more unnerving.
