Jonathan N. Vaknin is a skilled attorney, based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Los Angeles Area. Mr. Vaknin has extensive experience in representing debtors in consumer bankruptcy matters. Mr. Vaknin dedicated five years of his career to representing individuals and small businesses at two of the highest volume consumer bankruptcy law firms in San Diego, California, alongside one of the top 50 bankruptcy filers in the United States. Mr. Vaknin most recently supervised the Chapter 13 department of a high volume consumer bankruptcy practice in San Diego with tremendous success while remaining active in the representation of the firm’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy clients.
Mr. Vaknin obtained his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University in 2004 and his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2008. He was awarded the Director’s Award for Excellence in Advocacy at University of San Francisco School of Law’s Intensive Advocacy Program while pursuing his law degree.
Mr. Vaknin is admitted to practice law by the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California. In addition to his law licenses, Mr. Vaknin is a licensed Real Estate Broker by the California Department of Real Estate and represents buyers and sellers in real property transactions through Burke Real Estate Consultants, Inc. based in San Diego, California.
