Ani Markarian Akopyan

Ani M. Akopyan received her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from UCLA in 2001 and her law degree from Southwestern Law School in 2004.  For over a decade, Ani has worked exclusively in the field of labor and employment law litigation.  Prior to joining the Akopyan Law Firm, Ani worked at various reputable law firms handling all stages of litigation on a broad spectrum of employment matters, including wrongful termination claims, harassment claims, discrimination claims, retaliation claims, whistle-blower claims, and wage & hour claims, defending both small and large employers.  Having worked as an accomplished defense attorney, Ani knows how the defense thinks and operates and is uniquely positioned to fight the good fight on behalf of employees. 

In recognition of her achievements, Ani was named to the list of Top 50 Up-and-Coming Women Attorneys in Southern California for 2015-2017. Ani has also been named to the California Rising Stars list as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in California for 2007-2018. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in California receive this honor. Ani has also been recognized as a Top Attorney by Pasadena Magazine for 2012-2015.
