My property was foreclosed in 2010, association attorney placed an abstract of judgment. Isn't new owner supposed to pay ?

What happens if you are not qualified to file a Chapter 7 - yet you filed? Can you get out of bankruptcy at that point?

If your attorney knows the trustee well enough, you may also be allowed to structure the Chapter 7 in a way that is acceptable to the trustee.

If your judgment has attorneys' fees involved then you may be able to get someone to pursue this just for his own fees.

Regarding HOA fees. Congress passed BAPCPA in 2005. One of the big changes they made is to make the HOA fees that come due AFTER the bk is FILED...
