****PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS ATTORNEY**** When I first hired Maureen, she and her paralegal David made it seem like they really understood my concerns and were willing to put up a fight for my case. The father has a history of domestic violence and has been completely absent from my son's lif...e 4 out of 6 years. He is a complete stranger to my son and the court granted me sole legal and physical custody back in 2019. The father does not have an attorney, he does not know the law, and his motion to change orders was literally only paragraph of nothing relevant. As the case progressed, Maureen wanted me to just settle BEFORE she even argured my case in court. She became more and more unreachable and it seems like you can only can reach her right before a court hearing so I was in the dark at times and I did not appreciate that especially when I paid her $5000. Without the father proving ANYTHING, Maureen told me it was in my best interest to give him joint legal custody and agree to a visitation plan without any further court hearings on the calendar. How is that in the best interest of my child? I was reallly worried about this since the father continues to display abusive behavior, so I sought a second option from other attorneys. ALL OF THEM TOLD ME SHE WAS WRONG! There is more I can do here and on top of that her areas of practice are not even mainly in family law, but in Labor & Employment & Privacy Law. So it appears she may not be fully aware of what my options are in this matter and completely mislead me. All I got from her, was ONE court appearance and ONE response to the fathers initial motion. I ended up going with another attorney and she refused to refund me any amount of the money I paid her so I can put that towards my new attorney. So without even having my case heard, I am already paying double what is necessary and it is very disappointing! It was a complete waste of time working with her and I wasted a lot of time not getting anything done and believing Maureen had my best interest at heart. Please go with another attorney if you have a family law case you really want to fight!

Maureen is one of the worst attorneys. Un prepared, never returns phone calls. She will take your money, disappear and then expect to start working on your matter the day before your court date. She will also not fight for you on many occasions, ignoring your concerns and facts, letting the other sid...e take advantage of you. Don’t make your situation worse. Find another attorney.
