Needing a criminal defense attorney is a scary experience but Justin immediately put me at ease when I met with him and hired him and I knew I was in good hands. He was the only lawyer I met with that didn't just give me lip service and brag about about themselves! He answered all of my questions, wa...s always there for me, and I personally saw Justin in court doing his thing. Never once did he have another lawyer touch my case which is VERY common with many defense attorneys. I never felt like I was in the dark about my case, and he knew my case backwards and forwards. He handled my main case which was in Van Nuys and probation violation out of the Airport Court and was able to make everything go away with no jail, a reduced charge, and termination of my violation case. Next year Justin will go back to court for me for the sealing of the case and arrest. Catching a case is a horrible experience but thank goodness there are lawyers out there like Justin. Don't waste your time and money with anyone else. Justin really does check all of the boxes and then some!!

I've worked with Justin Sterling twice, once during my active criminal case then on a motion a few months afterwards. This review is largely about the latter... After my actual criminal case was dismissed, I was interested in pursing a finding of factual innocence, a type of motion that is rarely... granted, which not only removes any doubt one might be guilty, but also orders the sealing and obliteration of any records related to the arrest or prosecution. I was warned by numerous people that these were notoriously hard to win and it would not be easy, even given the best of circumstances. From the way he conducted himself during my case, I knew Justin was the guy to handle this matter. He crafted a well-written motion, made some compelling arguments before the Court and had some great questions for me during direct questioning at the hearing. Ultimately the presiding judge granted the order and directed all agencies involved to destroy my arrest records, truly a godsend in my situation. In summary, he is a fantastic lawyer, who is constantly on the ball in the court room, ready to rebut the most ridiculous statements from the prosecution and is always on your side. He's very responsive. Honestly I can't say enough things about having worked with him.
