I'm a business consultant who sometimes advises my clients to hire attorneys to help protect their legal rights and mitigate their risks. When my client needs a smart attorney with a strong network, Dennis is one of my go-to-people. He is honest, knowledgeable and does a great job considering all the... details and big picture legal issues so that my client companies can be looked as a whole entity. For example, one of my clients was a healthcare broker with some entertainment related business and a large estate. Many times clients like that will have a team of disassociated attorneys focusing on each part: Intellectual Property, Estate Planning, Tax Law, Contracts, etc. The problem with a disassociated team set up is that one attorney will make a decision that impacts another, without truly understanding the depth of connection. I’m not warned and then my client and I are dealing with legal issues and costs we didn’t anticipate. Instead, I got Dennis involved in the beginning so that my client had someone that could look at and understand ALL his legal needs. Dennis then advised him directly and added expert if we needed them, e.g., a HIPPA expert, but consistently oversaw all the work. This reduced my client's risk and kept us within budget. Prior to being a consultant I worked at LexisNexis and was able to see Dennis’s work ethic and cunning decision-making on an array of cases including an Energy case and was very impressed. This is how I became familiar with Dennis’s practice and why I was comfortable recommending him to my clients when I started my consulting practice. I am very careful about recommending attorneys because many times lawyers talk a good talk but when it comes to the walk… they have two left feet, that they hide somehow. I feel very comfortable recommending Dennis because I’ve seen him work with a variety of clients since 2006 and his ethics and style have always stayed above board. He is constantly honing his legal acumen and manages a practice that focuses on helping his clients. Dennis might have the luck of the Irish on his side, he went to Notre Dame, but his dedication to constant improvement, skill and know-how is what brings it home.
