Medical Malpractice Experience - Unparalleled Experience
Kenneth W. Drake, with nearly 40 years of medical malpractice legal experience is our firm's most senior litigator. He personally manages all of our complex cases, including those involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death. Ken was the managing partner of the medical malpractice firm of Rushfeldt, Shelley & Drake which represented physicians and hospitals in matters of professional negligence. With years of defense experience, Ken is uniquely qualified in prosecuting medical malpractice claims for his clients. Knowing how the defense litigator thinks, he offers his plaintiff's clients with a unique combination of perspective over most plaintiffs lawyers whose experience is limited only to the plaintiffs side. Knowing both sides of a medical malpractice claims provides our clients with a rare and valuable advantage.
Education - Experience - Professional Ratings
Ken has been a member of the California State Bar since 1980. He received his undergradate education at the University of Arizona and his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ken worked as a reporter for two Los Angeles-area newspapers and served as press secretary in two gubernatorial campaigns. Finally, he lectures on a host of medical-legal issues and is among the select group of AV-Rated attorneys in California.
