You could try- but I doubt DA will go along with this.
Is it possible to obtain a continuance for 6 months? And get released on OR after arraignment?

Doubtful court will grant continuance for that long . Use a public defender. You do not know if you will make any income after receiving your RE...

As long as you did not have alcohol in your system and was driving to and from work you'll be fine. Fight the ticket.

You probably will not be able to renew license with an outstanding warrant. Get an attorney and take care of it!
