The clerical error is not going to get ticket dismissed. Get a TX attorney to deal with this.

You will continue to get tickets- and eventually get car towed away. License must be visible.

Yes- proving the case is another story. Get an attorney. Depending on your record and quantity of drugs found there may be an alternative sentence...

Yes- license must be visible or officer can pick up cover. There are many reasons for this. Who knows what's in vehicle?

Get a private attorney to appear for you. DO NOT WRITE ANY LETTERS TO THE DA. That would be a major mistake.
