I am not aware of removing any old tickets from your record. They fall off your record for point count after 3 years- but the record is never erased.

The Los Angeles County jails are very over crowded. The amount of time varies . Some people serve hours while others have been serving 10- 20%.

If CA 23123a violation isn't a point on my record, why when I got the ticket did it tell me I'm eligible for Traffic School?

No need for traffic school. This is a non point violation now.

They have up to one year to file a ticket. Get a Proof of Appearance from clerk at court. Keep checking website. You might get a notice from court...

When you go to court the public defender will review the case with you and you will be able to decide how to plead.

You or your attorney must deal with the citation. No recordings might have been made.
