Child custody

If I could stand on a mountain and shout to the whole world what Attorney Scott D. Olsen did for me and my son I would. I was caught in one of the most painful, high-conflict custody battles a parent can go through. I searched tirelessly online, reading through reviews, and that’s how I found the ...Law Office of Scott D. Olsen. Little did I know I was about to meet the man who would forever change the course of our lives. Scott didn’t just take my case he carried it. He showed up with unmatched dedication, intelligence, and heart. I watched him cancel his own doctor appointments just to make sure he could be in court for me in person. He was relentless in preparation, strategic in every move, and when we went to trial he nailed it. The truth was revealed, justice was served, and my son’s future was secured. Scott gave me my voice back when I felt silenced. He stood beside me when I felt alone. He fought for my child like he was his own. What he did in that courtroom was nothing short of extraordinary. To say “thank you” will never be enough. I will pray for this man for the rest of my life. If you are looking for someone to fight for you, to stand in the gap when everything feels impossible Scott D. Olsen is the one. He is a gift to the legal profession and to every parent lucky enough to be represented by him.

Excellent lawyer

My husband hired Scott as a family law attormey and we are very pleased with his services. He was very honest from the start and the outcomes he predicted turned out to be accurate. He is very accessible and always returns calls personally. Scott didn't promise us anything he didn't think the judge w...ould approve, which made us very comfortable in hiring him. His paralegal Lisa, was also very helpful and didn't make us feel uncomfortable about calling the office multiple times a day. I would hire him again in a heartbeat if we ever need to go to court again. He is very reassuring and took the time to thoroughly listen to our concerns and requests. Even when our daughter's attorney changed the time of the hearing hours before it was supposed to take place Scott was there. It was the most comfortable hearing we've ever been to because Scott was there for us. For lack of a better term, Scott didn't bend over for the judge while still being respectful! Can't say enough good things!

not good

Not very friendly at first I thought that does not matter if he does a good job. He is expensive in comparison to other attorneys who do chapter 7. I was not sure which bankruptcy I was going to have to do he asked for an additional fee in the event that I had to do a chapter 13 said that if I did ...not choose to do the later he would reimburse the difference. When a decision was made to go with chapter 7 he did not reimburse the difference led me to believe he would and at the end kept the money. Would never speak directly to me about it I had to make several call and only spoke to his secretary. I would not recommend him to anyone.

This is a completely inaccurate description of what took place in the case. The client started out requesting, needing, and therefore paying the flat fee for a Chapter 13. Subsequently, their financial situation changed several times which required multiple office meetings and changes to their documents prior to filing for which I did not charge them extra. They ultimately needed, and I filed, a Chapter 7 which they received a discharge of their debts. They provided inaccurate information to me causing me to have to make several amendments to their documentation after we filedfor which I also did not charge them anything extra. Finally, I DID REFUND THE DIFFERENCE IN FEES FROM THE CHAPTER 13 RATE TO THE CHAPTER 7 RATE AS I STATED I WOULD. Not only did I not "keep the money", I refunded the amount I said I would even though I ended up spending many more hours on the case than I anticpated. My fees for a Chapter 7 are very reasonable and are certainly less expensive than a majority of attorneys in the area and I would suggest anyone compare. My flat fee for an individual Chapter 7 debtor normally ranges from $1,200 to $1,500 and this fee INCLUDES me paying the court filing fee of $335, me paying the credit counseling fees, and my appearing at the 341a hearing. Most attorneys quote fees without including these items.
