Before opening up Mailyan Law, Ms. Mailyan has worked at a non-profit organization representing clients with immigration, family law, SSI and domestic violence issues. She has extensive experience working with vulnerable population and has received continuous feedback for her interpersonal skills. Ms. Mailyan is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Armenian Bar Association. Ms. Mailyan is admitted to practice law in all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
Ms. Mailyan is fluent in Armenian and Russian.
Education
Mrs. Mailyan completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009 graduating with Magna Cum Laude. She earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Russian Languages. Ms. Mailyan received her Juris Doctorate in 2013 from the University of California, Davis School of Law. Ms. Mailyan clerked at the Immigration clinic for 2 years and gained extensive experience in representing immigrants with diverse legal issues. Ms. Mailyan also successfully graduated from The Public Service Law Program academic certification program by providing hundreds of hours of pro bono legal services. While in law school, Ms. Mailyan was a Moot Court Board member and upon graduation Ms. Mailyan was invited to join The Order of Barristers - a national honorary organization for graduating seniors who had demonstrated outstanding ability in the preparation and presentation of moot appellate argument.
