No it does not increase your chance of approval. You cannot extend your visa in the us and so I truly believe you erred in making this filing....

Sounds good if you have substantial trade with the us. You have to meet certain reapquirements. See an attorney ASAP!

Perhaps you can file a motion to reopen or plan what you will do before a judge. See an attorney ASAP.
