"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." — Shakespeare, Henry VI

I argue that we must make an exception for Patricia Corrales. Patty truly is excellent as a lawyer and as a person! She will talk to you straight. Curiously, what made us first trust her was that at our initial interview, she pointed out a problem with my husband's case that no one in the prior 20... years had ever brought up. She said that we might have issues with that, and sure enough, we did. It was all related to the way his asylum application, which a notary calling himself a lawyer filled out, worded some things. I have an M.A. in English, but I never would have realized that such phrasing would be interpreted a certain way. Patty caught it within the first couple minutes of starting to look at our file. So we felt that if Patty was not telling us that she would win but only that she would do everything in her power to try to win, she must be pretty honest. And it turns out that she is a shark! She HATES to lose and will do anything to win. But we can tell that is because she genuinely cares about her clients and wants the best for them. So she will fight hard for the people she cares about. It also doesn't hurt that Patty worked for ICE for 17 years and helped develop some of the techniques used against immigrants by ICE lawyers. That makes her better able than most to deal with the tricks used by ICE. She also knows the judges and government representatives well. That means that she knows what will convince each particular judge and what angles the opposition likes to use. That's quite an advantage. So if I haven't made it clear yet, I was highly impressed by all the work Patty did on our case. We didn't win, but we didn't lose either, and that is what is most important. My husband gets to stay in the United States. I have sent more than one friend to Patty. They have been pleased, and I know you will be too.

The American dream

I came to U.S in 2015 as a minor and Patricia Corrales became my lawyer. In 2016 she helped me out getting my political asylum and a year later we reached they permanent residence!!… now five years later, after getting my green card. Patricia prepared me with the best advises and helped me out in my ...USCIS interview!!! This past July 19th 2022 I became a US citizen. And it would not be possible without Patricia Corrales and her amazing Team. It was a great journey and I’m glad to say I had the best lawyer ever.!
