No Professionalism

I hired her for my felony appeal. At the time she tried to get me sign her up, she pretended to be nice and caring and professed that she would take a better good care of my case than the trial lawyer. Once I was taking in in custory, she never answered the phone when I called her from Jail or came d...own to see me in Jail for the next strategy. I asked her for the appeal bail hearing because I needed outside to assist the appeal case. She then sent her assistant coming down to the Appeal Bail hearing without preparing anything for the case so I could not being released (Judge said well, we can't verify if she owned the house or not so bail is denied). She never tried to get intouch with me and decided to write the writ/appeal without consulting me. I had to ask around to be released on house arrest that she did not even come up with the idea. I would NEVER recommend her. Took 15K on a lousy job, several errors on the writs ie timeline, statements that quoted untrue/clarity to clear my name. All she cared was cashing my check and disappeared. If she knew she could not do a long distant then don't take the case and being un-professional about it. When I filed complaint to the attorney network, they asked for more money. I lost 30K on my trial and 15K on appeal where do I have money left to pay 3% of the 15K refund?

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
