Matthew Alan Gardner

Matthew A. Gardner is a Senior Associate with Richardson Ober PC. He concentrates his practice on real estate and homeowner association law, representing various types of entities and community associations, including condominium developments, planned unit developments, commercial developments and mobile home communities.

Mr. Gardner is licensed to practice law in California and Ohio, as well as before the United States District Court Central District of California. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Gabriel Valley Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association.

He is an active member of the Community Associations Institute and serves as the Chair of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter’s Publications Committee, overseeing the monthly news magazine, website and the annual membership directory. He also serves on the chapter’s Membership Committee. Mr. Gardner is also an active member of the Notre Dame Club of Los Angeles, an alumni organization for graduates of the University of Notre Dame, where he serves on the Board of Directors.

A native of Cincinnati, Mr. Gardner attended the University of Notre Dame where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law, where he was the recipient of the President’s Scholarship (2000-2001) and the Social Justice Scholarship (2002), as well as the 2003 CALI Excellence Award for the highest grade in his class. Prior to joining Richardson Harman Ober PC, he headed his own law firm in South Pasadena, California, which specialized in providing legal services to homeowners and mutual benefit corporations.
